About this opportunity
The University of Wisconsin–Madison is issuing a Request for Information on Secure Enterprise Browser solutions, with responses due June 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. CDT. This is an RFI for information and planning purposes only; responses are not offers, will not be returned, and do not obligate the University to issue a subsequent solicitation or award a contract.
The University seeks vendor input on browser security capabilities to protect sensitive research data across its decentralized administrative structure. Technical requirements include hierarchical governance, data loss prevention controls, Zero Trust Architecture integration, identity and access management, extension management, threat protection, centralized logging, and contextual access controls. The solution must integrate with identity providers supporting SAML 2.0, OIDC, and Entra ID and support multi-tenant administrative structures.
Vendor responses must include an executive summary, detailed answers to a 60-question questionnaire covering general information, governance and multi-tenancy, deployment and compatibility, research and compliance, and accessibility considerations, and a comprehensive pricing and licensing model breakdown including support and maintenance tiers, optional modules, and licensing options for various user populations.
Questions regarding the RFI are due May 27, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. CDT. Vendors may direct questions to Caleb.Hall@wisc.edu. The University reserves the right to modify or cancel the RFI, request additional information from respondents, conduct interviews, and use the information to structure a future procurement process.
