The project requires R-22 refrigerant recovery from removed equipment with cylinders returned to the owner. Plumbing and electrical work are coordinated through separate drawings. Work must be phased into six stages with temporary modular classrooms (68 feet by 28 feet minimum) housing displaced students. Work must commence within ten calendar days of the Notice to Proceed and be completed by January 5, 2023. The prime contractor must be a single Georgia-licensed firm responsible for all trades. Bids exceeding $100,000 require a 5% surety bid bond; the successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of contract value issued by a Georgia-authorized corporate surety. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Contractors must demonstrate minimum two years of experience under their current company name on similar projects and provide current Georgia licenses, local business licenses, asbestos certifications, references, and E-Verify compliance.
