About this file

This is Addendum No. 4, dated June 20, 2022, issued by Andrews, Hammock & Powell, Inc. on behalf of the Dougherty County Board of Education in Albany, Georgia, modifying the original specifications for HVAC and plumbing upgrades at Lamar Reese Elementary School. The addendum revises Section 230900 (Instrumentation and Control for HVAC) regarding thermostat and temperature sensor installation requirements and adds monitoring specifications for kitchen coolers/freezers and data room spaces. All bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum on the Bid Price Form to avoid disqualification, indicating that this modification was issued after the original May 20, 2022 specifications were released.

The key specification changes include: newly installed thermostats and sensors in new locations must be mounted at 4 feet 6 inches above finished floor unless otherwise noted, while those at existing locations may remain at existing heights; classroom thermostats shall not have locking metal covers, but those in common areas must have locking metal covers unless otherwise specified; kitchen walk-in coolers and freezers require two space temperature sensors each with alarm functions if temperature rises above setpoint for more than five minutes; and data rooms and other areas served by standalone ductless split systems or PTACs must have DDC system temperature monitoring with alarm signals sent to the owner if space temperature exceeds the owner's setpoint. All setpoints, classroom deadband settings, and cover/cage types must be verified with Dougherty County Board of Education Facilities.
