About this opportunity

Volusia County, Florida is requesting bids for Cisco SMARTnet Maintenance services under IFB 26-B-96MC, with responses due June 19, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. through the County's eProcurement Portal — note that the posted due date of June 19, 2026 is prior to the posting date of June 22, 2026, indicating a deadline already passed or a clerical discrepancy. Questions are due June 3, 2026 at 11:55 p.m. A 3% local preference applies to respondents with documented permanent locations in Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, or Volusia County for at least six months prior to the closing date.

The scope covers maintenance and support for existing Cisco equipment including routers (ASR1001-X series), switches (Catalyst C9200, C9300, C9500 series), firewalls (Firepower FPR series), industrial Ethernet switches (IE series), management software licenses, and UCS computing infrastructure. The County maintains over 300 individual existing support contracts through February 28, 2027, with service levels including 8x5 next business day replacement support, software support, and DNA licensing options. A Cisco Customer Consent Form must be completed and submitted as part of the bid response to establish contractual authorization with Cisco Systems.

The initial contract term is three years with options for two subsequent one-year renewals, contingent on mutual written agreement and County Council approval. The County will award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder offering the best overall value, not necessarily the lowest cost. Evaluation criteria include total cost, customer service response capabilities, current relationship with Cisco Systems, and past performance demonstrated through three relevant project references within the last three years. The County is exempt from federal excise tax and Florida sales tax; all discounts except prompt payment discounts will be evaluated. Payment terms require remittance within forty-five business days of receipt on undisputed invoices, with interest accruing at 1% per month after thirty days.

The contractor must maintain Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate), Professional Liability for Technology Errors & Omissions ($1,000,000 per claim / aggregate), and Workers Compensation with Florida statutory coverage. A non-mandatory solicitation opening will occur June 19, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. via Microsoft Teams.
