About this file

This document is a special contract requirement outlining veterans employment emphasis for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) contracts. USACE contractors and subcontractors at all tiers are encouraged to promote the training and employment of U.S. veterans while performing under USACE contracts. The requirement mandates compliance with FAR Part 22.13, FAR Provision 52.222-38, FAR Clause 52.222-35, FAR Clause 52.222-37, DFARS 222.13, and Department of Labor regulations.

While no set-asides, evaluation preferences, or contract incentives apply to solicitations or performance under resulting contracts, USACE contractors are strongly encouraged to actively seek out highly qualified veterans for service positions. The document provides five resources to support contractor outreach efforts: the U.S. Department of Labor Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS), Federal Veteran Employment Information (FedShireVets), the Veterans Opportunity to Work (VOW) Program, the U.S. Army Warrior Transition Command Employment Index, and Hiring Our Heroes. This is a template provision rather than a solicitation for specific products or services.
