FFIT ADMINISTRATOR
General overview of FFIT
FFIT is a Government provided data base that will be populated by the contractor and contain Government Owned Data. FFIT will provide a near real-time web based data. FFIT will have the ability to query various data elements and mine data. FFIT allows for monitoring and access to:
Maintenance planning and management (Aircraft and Support Equipment) Supply support As-Managed/As-Maintained aircraft configurations Readiness data/system status Asset visibility Measure and monitor contractor performance relative to performance metrics
FFIT is based upon RepairData (http://www.repairdata.com/) and will be operating in a “.mil” environment and operating under a military Certificate of Networthiness (CERT#201417964). FFIT is delivered as a web service, which means that no proprietary software shall be installed on contractor computers. Contractor shall have an Internet connection and a browser to operate.
The following represents the full capabilities of the RepairData Program along with information from the RepairData website are for information purposes only. The training as described above will provide for specific entries, actions need to maintain the database.
FFIT contains standard logistics and information management processes for all aspects of operational systems, including:
» asset visibility, control, and distribution » equipment configuration, upgrade, and maintenance » inventory shipping, tracking, receiving, and reporting » legacy configuration control, calibration status, and failure analysis » well-designed on line reporting supporting all operational aspects
FFIT will provide messaging services ensuring that notifications about maintenance actions, inventory levels, and received materials are instantly available to the contractor.
Maintenance The Maintenance core module of FFIT provides near real-time and legacy maintenance management.
The module performs creation, deletion, update, and reporting of maintenance actions, data and repair time collection, failure analysis and logistic analysis of each maintenance action.
This module automatically provides updates to System status when a major system has a maintenance action either opened or closed. This module also provides automatic updates to the “As-Managed/As- Maintained” Configuration when one serialized configuration tracked item is removed during maintenance and another is installed in its place.
An Item is tracked on the System Status screen. The system status is updated to reflect that it is having maintenance with a one click reference to the maintenance record, modifications required and reliability failure analysis.
Some of the information tracked:
» Maintenance Action Number » Initial Condition Code » Acceptance Test Performed » Item and Serial Number » Acceptance Test Tech, Date/Time » Revision or Date Code http://www.repairdata.com/
» Current Status » Acceptance Test Man Hours » Open And Failure Date » Failure Description » Material Used in Maintenance » Initial Inspection » QA Notes » NHA Item and Serial Number » Inspection Tech, Date/Time » QA Witness, Date/Time » Warranty?
» Inspection Man Hours » QA Man Hours » ETM In and Out » Maintenance Performed » New Revision or Item Number » Maintenance Analysis Notes » Maintenance Tech, Date/Time » Final Condition Code » Categorization of Maintenance Action » Maintenance Man Hours
Asset Visibility/System Status The Asset Visibility/ System Status core module of FFIT provides near real-time and legacy system status management. The module performs creation, deletion, update, and reporting of high visibility systems or subsystems. Current status, of Full, Partial, or Non Mission capable for each item, latest ETM, current location, and last event are documented.
This information provides the start clock for ETM or date to aid calculations for demonstrated reliability and maintainability functions. Warranty decisions can be based also on similar data.
If the item being tracked on the System Status screen has either a shipment or a maintenance action, the system status is updated to reflect that it is being shipped or worked on with a one click reference to the shipment or maintenance record.

Shipping, Receiving and In-Transit Shipment Tracking The Shipping, Receiving and In-Transit Shipment Tracking optional module of FFIT provides near real-time and legacy material movement management.
The module performs creation, deletion, update, and reporting of shipping actions, shipment and receiving data collection, and in transit shipment tracking of each shipment action.
RepairCenter has automated the links to AirBorne Express, UPS, FedEx, DHL, Emery WorldWide, and the United States Postal Service. Once the contractor has created a shipment tracking record, direct access to the shippers Internet web site will provide the current tracking information.
As-Managed/As-Maintained Configuration The As-Managed/As-Maintained Configuration module of FFIT provides near real-time and legacy configuration management.
The module performs creation, deletion, update, and reporting of entire systems configuration, sub-systems, and individual track items.
The material that is installed during maintenance automates configuration tracking. If the item installed is configuration tracked, its next higher assembly in the configuration module is found and updated when the maintenance action is closed.
History screens are available to view a tracked item as configuration changes occurred to it.
Configuration events that are documented with each change can be that a baseline was created, modification by maintenance action, replacement by maintenance action, or user created event. These events are traceable back to the document number where applicable.
The As-Managed/As-Maintained screens are custom built and information will be provided during the FFIT training.
Calibration Status The Calibration Status optional module of FFIT provides near real-time and legacy calibration status management.
The module performs creation, deletion, update, and reporting of calibration status actions, assignment of interval, assignment to calibration items.
Once the calibration status task has been established, you will then assign the calibration item in the same fashion as you do when creating modification effectivity.
Multiple calibration tasks can be created and assign to same or different items.
Once the task is activated, the start clock set, the system will interrogate every day and will send an e-mail stating a calibration task is due within the next X days.
The advance notification days are controlled with an entry by the administrator in the Preferences screen.
Preventative Maintenance The Preventative Maintenance optional module of FFIT provides near real-time and legacy preventative maintenance management.
The module performs creation, deletion, update, and reporting of preventative maintenance actions, assignment of interval, assignment to preventative maintenance items.
Once the preventative maintenance task has been established, you will then assign preventative maintenance item in the same fashion as you do when creating modification effectivity. Multiple task can be created and assign to same or different items.
Once the task is activated, the start clock set, the system will interrogate every day and will send an e-mail stating a preventative maintenance task is due within the next X days.
The advance notification days are controlled by an entry by the administrator in the Preferences screen.
The Modification Track and Status optional module of RepairCenter provides real-time and legacy maintenance management. The module performs creation, deletion, update, and reporting of modification information.
This module also enables an optional Maintenance Data collection screen of Modifications required.
When a maintenance action is opened against an item that has outstanding modifications, the user is notified immediately.
The user, from within the maintenance action, can then navigate to the modification and make a determination of its immediate requirement, or if time allows for the modification based on the current requirement for the failed item.
If the modification is incorporated, it is then completed on the maintenance action and closed out in the Modification Tracking Status with a reference to the maintenance action.
Some of the information tracked:
» Modification Number » Is Modification Allowed?
» Labor » Charge Numbers » Title » Verified? With Name » Labor Charge Descriptions » Authorizing Document » Validated?
