About this file
This document outlines requirements for a federal contract solicitation for water storage and distribution systems. The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Detroit Arsenal intends to procure up to 123 Water Storage Distribution Systems, with 87 systems providing 100,000 gallon storage capacity and 36 systems capable of operating as either a single 100,000 gallon unit or as two separate 50,000 gallon units. The contract will also include approximately 150 350 gallon per minute fluid distribution pumps. The Water Storage Distribution Systems are the Army's primary potable water storage bladders and are used to intake, purify, and distribute bulk water to other Army water assets. The two-phase procurement process will initially award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts to up to five vendors to deliver test pumps. Following testing at Aberdeen Proving Ground, the government will evaluate test results along with revised pricing to select a single vendor through a fair opportunity process to receive the production, pumps, and logistics line item modification for system delivery. The resultant contracts will have a seven-year term consisting of five one-year base periods and two one-year options. This procurement has a 100% small business set-aside.
