About this file
This document provides preparation instructions for shipment and storage of military vehicles and systems as well as details for a forthcoming federal contract opportunity. The shipment and storage specification outlines requirements for first article inspection, equipment, materials, procedures, operations, quality assurance, and technical data packages. It establishes two protection levels for processing: Level A for maximum protection including overseas shipment and storage over 90 days; and Level B for domestic and overseas shipment up to 90 days.
The federal contract opportunity is a two-phase solicitation for the U.S. Army to procure up to 123 Water Storage Distribution Systems for storage, purification and distribution of bulk water. Phase I involves awarding multiple IDIQ contracts to deliver pumps for testing after which the best value vendor will be selected to receive a modification exercising options for full system production and logistics packages under Phase II. The resultant IDIQ contracts will have a base period of five years and two one-year options for a total of seven years. This is a 100% small business set-aside conducted by the Army Contracting Command-Detroit Arsenal.
