STATEMENT OF WORK FOR
INERT 60MM, 81MM, and 120MM PROPELLING CHARGES
1. OBJECTIVE
The objective of this Inert 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm Propelling Charge Statement of Work is to enable the USG to purchase INERT propelling charges in support of the ongoing Load, Assemble and Pack (LAP) IDIQ contracts being awarded. A deliverable under the LAP IDIQ contracts will be INERT end item charges as part of CLINs XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX.
2. BACKGROUND
The USG requires inert 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm mortar propelling charges for use in inert propelling charge models that will be built as a requirement under the Propelling Charge IDIQ contract being awarded.
3. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS

4. REQUIREMENTS
The quantity and delivery schedule for the inert ignition cartridges will be provided to the contractor upon award of the LAP Propelling Charge IDIQ contract by the USG. The 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm inert propelling charges are to be composed of the following components: 1 inert container assembly, 1 inert closure tab, and an inert propellant loaded to the nominal charge weight of each propelling charge specification. The 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm inert propelling charges shall be assembled as per their respective specification with the following exceptions: they shall be free of all energetic materials and therefore the final propelling charges are considered inert.
In place of the energetic materials, a simulant should be used for inert propellant in the propelling charges. The materials used for inert parts must be representative of the energetic materials in terms of weight and dimensions, as per their respective specification. Each propelling charge should be labeled with its respective propelling charge nomenclature and be labeled “INERT” along the top half of the propelling charge.
5. GFM:
GFM will not be provided during the performance of this SOW.
