Q 1. Does the affordability cap apply to just the standard kit items or is it the standard kit plus all optional accessories? Also, does the affordability cap include warranty costs?
A1. The affordability cap applies to the standard kit, in accordance with Specification paragraph 3.2, including a 5 year warranty.
Q 2. Will a bid sample of the device or the standard kit be required with the proposal submission?
A2. A bid sample of the standard kit (Windows 10 Enterprise and all drivers necessary to operate, load, and execute Passmark Software) is required with the proposal submission.
Q 3. If there are no guaranteed quantities, in what CLIN does the government want the costs associated with the 1,000 kit bonded storage?
A3. Any costs associated with a potential bonded storage will not be solicited as a separately priced item.
Q 4. Is there a Passmark score requirement that the government is evaluating to for MSD-V4L? Due to the requirements and use case similarity to MSD-V4R & MSD-V4S, would a Passmark score of 2000 also be a requirement for MSD-V4L?
A4. The benchmark score of the bid sample will be evaluated against the System Performance requirement described in the Detail Specification.
Q 5. Industry standard brightness for sunlight readability is typically 700 nits. The requirement of 400 nits for the MSD-V4L screen could result in the screen being unreadable in sunny, outdoor conditions. Recommend increasing to 700 nits with an objective of 800 nits.
A5. The brightness score will be evaluated against the Brightness requirement described in the Detail Specification.
Q 6. What is the government’s intention with having FAT CLINs in every option year? Is the intent to conduct FAT or a delta FAT every option year?
A6. The Government intends to have a FAT for the first year of the contract; FAT CLINs in years 2 through 5 will be removed in the Final RFP.
