APPENDIX 1
Guidelines for RPSTL J and K Cards on Provisioning Parts List (LSA 036 Report).
“J” and “K” cards, Card Columns 13 – 15, TM Code. Example: The Technical Manual Code assigned is ZZZ, Card Columns 13 – 15 will show “ZZZ” on each record developed.
“J” and “K” cards, Card Columns 16 – 19, Figure Number, right justified, not zero filled.
“J” and “K” cards, Card Columns 20 - 23, Item Number, right justified, not zero filled.
“J” card, Card Column 26, Technical Manual Indenture Code (TM IND), this column will be blank for the first PLISN of each figure. The indenture level for this PLISN will be the base indenture level for the figure (no indenture dots on parts description page). PLISNs at indenture levels lower than the base level will contain a number (1 through 5) to describe how many levels they are beneath the base indenture level.
“J” Card, Card Columns 27 – 29, Quantity per Figure, leave this field blank if it matches Quantity per Assy from “C” card, card columns 22 – 25. If a different quantity is required, right justified, zero filled.
“J” Card, Card Columns 30 – 40, Work Unit Code/Technical Manual Functional Group Code (WUC/TMFGC) Alphanumeric, zero filled. Start with the first functional group listed in the Maintenance Allocation Chart and the first item on an illustration and construct Card Columns 30 – 40 as follows:

CC 36, - 39 – Normally the item number, within each figure. (See Note below) CC 40 – Alpha character used to sequence same items within same figure.
CC 35 – Numeric entry 1-9 for Alpha Figures, otherwise zero fill.
CC 32, 33, 34 – Figure No. right justified.
CC 30, 31 – Functional Group No. (From MAC)
Note: Card Columns 36 – 39 zero fill when the first item listed in a figure is the assembly which is broken down in the illustration and it has no item number. Right justified.
“K” Card, Card Columns’ 24 – 78 are used to enter additional narrative, as required, which further describes the item name (i.e., where used, dimensions, material, manufactured from information, etc.). Note: that the nomenclature on the “K” card shall not be used as a continuation of the item’s nomenclature from the “A” card.
