About this file

This document provides details for a federal contract solicitation to construct an aircraft maintenance hangar at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The solicitation seeks to award a contract for construction of a 105,041 square foot maintenance hangar, aircraft maintenance unit with shops, and weapons shop with reinforced concrete foundation and floor slab, steel structure, masonry walls and standing seam metal roof. Supporting facilities will include utilities, pavements, site improvements, communications and all necessary support to create a complete and usable facility. Roadway and parking will be constructed including associated primary utilities and communications, with realignment of existing infrastructure as required. Airfield pavements are also specified to provide access to the hangar. Special site conditions necessitate excavation, fill, stabilization and demolition of seven existing buildings. The solicitation was issued by the Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Mobile.
