A Tough, Fiberglass Reinforced Asphaltic Pad
TremTred™ is an asbestos free asphalt pad reinforced with fiberglass and surfaced with non-skid white ceramic granules.
Recommended for any roof top area where protection from foot or light traffic is required. TremTreds are specifically intended for modified bitumen and built-up roof applications. Works well as roof top service pathways, around roof top equipment and under light equipment supports.
3’ x 4’ x 1/2” (914 mm x 1219 mm x 12.7 mm) thick; may also be field cut to desired size.
White.
Approximately 40 lbs. (18.1 kg) per panel.
Upon delivery to job site, remove plastic shipping wrap. Store TremTreds on a pallet under a waterproof tarpaulin. Prior to installation, turn over and lay out each TremTred for approximately 30 minutes to allow any moisture condensation from the panel surface to dissipate.
New Roofs: Adhere TremTreds with the recommended adhesive (see Acceptable Adhesive & Substrate chart). TremTreds may be spot/ribbon adhered to a gravel surface after sweeping loose gravel away or spot/ribbon adhered directly to the roof membrane prior to surfacing. Pads should be installed 1”
- 3” (25-75 mm) apart, or stepping-stone fashion to permit water flow. If a higher profile is required, adhere additional pads in the adhesive over the first panel.
Existing Roofs: Repair the roof as necessary. Sweep dirt, debris, or loose gravel from the area to accept TremTred. Prime with Tremprime LV or WB at 1/2 gallon per square (0.2 L/m2) and allow the primer to dry. Spot or ribbon adhere the pad to the roof surface in the recommended adhesive.
For applications over aggregate: additional adhesive will be necessary to ensure contact.
TremTreds should be installed 1” - 3” (25-75 mm) apart, or in stepping stone fashion to permit water flow.
Application: Install TremTreds in spot application of trowel-grade cement or in ribbons of cold-applied adhesive as listed in the chart below. Apply pressure during installation to assure positive contact. Apply adhesive so that TremTred is not fully adhered and moisture can vent from under TremTred.
