It provides detailed instructions for the setup, startup, scheduled operation, and monitoring of the Cera-Pure system, including information on alarms, fault conditions, and remote system monitoring. The document covers key system components, control interfaces, and recommended operating procedures. It does not appear to be a federal contract opportunity document.

The related federal contract opportunity is for Laundry Equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Repair Services at the Gulf Coast Veterans Healthcare System in Biloxi, MS. This is a 100% small business set-aside solicitation, open to various small business socioeconomic categories. The required services are to ensure continuous, uninterrupted operation of the facility's laundry equipment in support of veteran patient care.

4. At the lower left corner of Figure 5-2, the operator will find a button labeled Command Select, press this button to bring up the Command window (Figure 5-6). Press the Run button. This will initiate the start-up sequence as described in the beginning of Section 5. Close the pop-up window by pressing the “X” in the upper right hand corner of the window.

5. During start-up, verify that the Cera-Pure unit valves open as expected, and that the Feed Pump and Re-circulation Pump start as required. On completion of the start-up sequence, the system will indicate "Run" on the System Status display.

6. Periodically monitor the system operating parameters for expected conditions and performance.

7. When the Cera-Pure operation is no longer required, press the Shutdown button to properly secure the system.

Auto Command: Scheduled Operation

Assumptions:

• Cera-Pure unit is shutdown and is at ambient temperature.

• Cera-Pure unit is drained.

1. If not already done, turn on Control Power as directed in Setup and Startup section. From the Main Menu, select the Open Scheduling Timers button. The CEF Automatic Operation Scheduling window comes up (Figure 5-8). Input times for the applicable days required to run automatically. The Clean in Place operation can also be scheduled here.

When done, press the Return to Previous Screen button.

2. Then from the Main Menu, select the CEF System Status button. The System Status screen is the main operating screen. (Figure 5-2) This screen displays the overall system flow, as well as specific system valves, pumps, and sensors. Many icons on the screen play a dual role as a “button” as well. Touching an icon may bring up a separate window for settings or control. Message windows at the bottom of the screen will display current system status at all times, as well as alert the operator to abnormal conditions (such as a valve out of position, etc.). The Feed Pump control window is shown in Figure 5-5. It has the following controls; Hand, Off and Auto. Pressing either

Figure 5-6

Figure 5-7

-888- -888-4457 www.teatucson.com direction arrow will cause the selector to shift left or right as desired. When in Hand, pump started and the speed is controlled by selecting Feed Pump VFD Manual/Hand Setting and typing in desired frequency. If selector is turned to off, the pump will not run. The Auto position is where the switch should be left in. If in other than Auto, a warning will be displayed at the bottom of the Status screen. This is true for all components not in the Auto position.

3. Repeat this for all components on the Cera-Pure System Status display, verify that all controls are in the Auto position by pressing each icon and verifying selector switch position. When all components are in the Auto position, there should be no warning at the bottom of screen.

4. At the lower left corner of Figure 5-2, the operator will find a button labeled "Command Select", press this button to bring up the Command window (Figure 5-6). The Open Scheduling Timers icon is also on this window if changes are required prior to initiating the Automatic operation. Press the Auto button and the system will start, stop and run CIP as scheduled if the all of the component's switches are in their Auto position.

5. The Cera-Pure unit will operate as scheduled. Frequent inspection should be done to ensure valves and pumps are operating normally.

6. Periodically monitor the system operating parameters for expected conditions and performance.

While the PLC controls normal operation of the Cera-Pure unit, the following routine monitoring and manual adjustments may need to be performed depending on the operating conditions:

Routine Monitoring: Routine monitoring of system parameters is highly recommended to confirm proper system operation and to preclude operational problems by recognizing developing trends. From the CEF System Status screen on the control panel display, monitor the Cera-Pure unit flows, pressures, and temperatures. Normal operating pressures and temperatures will vary with wastewater type and operating conditions. Note that filtrate flow will vary based on a number of parameters, including temperature, quality of the wastewater, and cleanliness of the membranes. It also varies based on algorithms in the control software that look at miscellaneous parameters including tank levels. See the Cera-Pure Technical Description for further discussion.

Note: The System Status screen can be monitored remotely on one’s Local Area Network (LAN); contact TEA for information.

Alarms and Fault Conditions: In the unlikely event that an alarm/fault condition occurs (exceeding the limit for a specific parameter or failure of a specific component), the computer will sound the alarm horn and the control panel display will vector to the system's Alarm Screen and indicate the alarm/fault condition (as well as the alarm set point). Figure 5-8 has several alarms listed. Some alarm/fault conditions will result in system shutdown; a list of all alarm/fault conditions and their consequence is listed in Table 7-1. To acknowledge and silence an alarm, press the Touch Screen panel anywhere or the Alarm Ack Button. Note the alarming condition and determine the cause. When the condition has been corrected, the alarm will clear
