C. Project No.: 676-15-201

D. Project Engineer: Beth Heim

E. Contractor: To be determined by Invitation for Bid process

F. Length of Construction: 530 calendar days after receipt of signed Notice to Proceed

G. Project Description: The third floor of building 406 was last renovated in the 1980’s and had a few upgrades in 2016. Under this project, the third floor will undergo a full gut renovation. The complete work is described in the Specifications and Drawings. In general, the work will include removal of all interior materials to the brick walls and installing walls and utilities to support the new floor plan. A few systems will be salvaged and stored for reuse in the remodeled space.

These include the Nurse Call System and Fire/Smoke/Life Safety System which are new. The floor plan is designed to house two independent home groups or community living centers (CLC) in each wing. Each wing will have eight private bedrooms with private baths, a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchenette, and Nurse’s Station. The central corridor will house support services that will be shared by both wings.

This project was originally designed by Anderson Engineering in 2015. Since then, the design has been slightly modified and also updated to current construction codes by Penn Construction Group (PCG), St. Francis, Wisconsin. PCG is the designer of record and shall be providing construction period services. Commissioning service will be provided by third party.
