Overview
The Solid-State Phased Array Radar System (SSPARS) Program is comprised of six Geographically-Separated Units (GSU) in the Northern Hemisphere. There are four Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR) sites at the following locations: 6th Space Warning Squadron (SWS) at Cape Cod Space Force Station (SFS), MA; 7 SWS at Beale Air Force Base (AFB), CA;
12 SWS at Pituffik Space Base, Greenland, and 13 SWS/213 SWS at Clear SFS, AK. While radar mailto:SpOC.SAIO.SSPARS@spaceforce.mil operations are performed by military members assigned to the four GSUs, the contractor performs a radar operator/intelligence support mission at Beale AFB, CA and Cheyenne Mountain SFS, CO.
