About this file
This solicitation is for the construction of an Aerospace Control Alert Facilities and Alert Apron at NAS JRB New Orleans. The facilities will include two aircraft shelters with drive-through capability, heating, fire suppression, metal walls and standing seam roofs. An aircrew alert quarters/mission support structure will be constructed with Alternate Command Post capabilities, a secure area and entry control facility. Standby power will be provided for the site along with pile foundations and site preparation including surcharging. The alert apron will include all utilities, communication support, site improvements, exterior and security lighting, lightning protection and security upgrades to accommodate parking for two alert ready aircraft. Security fencing, access gates and airfield lighting will be erected. Pile foundations will be provided along with site preparation including soil dewatering as required. The Navy seeks a firm-fixed price contract for design-bid-build construction with a completion schedule of 1300 calendar days from award. The total project magnitude is estimated between $25-100 million. The solicitation is unrestricted with a response date of the issuance date and will result in award to one or more contractors.
