1.
SPECIFICATION ITEM NO.: N/A_
PARA. NO.N/A
TITLE: Various QUESTION: As of this date (13:30 hrs 03/23/10) this contractor has five (5)RFCs that remain unanswered by MSFSC; some of which, once answered by MSFSC, must be then distributed to subcontractors for estimating and quoting. This contractor, recognizing that Wednesday, 03/24 is the cut-off date for RFCs and that further changes to the SOL may be forthcoming as a result of our and other contractor’s outstanding RFCs, is concerned due to the fact that, in order to meet the current 31 March submission date, proposals must be shipped NLT Monday, 29 March. Even assuming the RFC responses were received today, the remaining 4 work day window does not allow sufficient time to incorporate the GFI RFC responses, distribute for review, develop/revise estimates and perform the tasks necessary to complete the Cost and Technical proposals.
Therefore, this contractor respectfully requests that the submission date for proposals be extended to 09 April 2010 in order to allow MSFSC time to answer and all contractors time to incorporate the changes resulting from outstanding GFI.
ANSWER: No further extension in the closing date can be accomodated. Offerors are advised that if MSFSC determines that it is necessary to conduct discussions, additional business and technical issues will be addressed at that time. Offerors will then be afforded the opportunity to submit a best and final proposal.
