About this file
This document provides an amendment to a solicitation for a military construction project at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia. The amendment extends the proposal due date while responses are provided to contractor questions. The project constructs a new two-story academic instruction facility, parking structure, and area distribution node to support wargaming functions. The primary facility is a minimum 100,443 square foot Georgian-style building. The parking structure is a 132,116 square foot pre-cast concrete facility with auger cast pile foundations. The 1,650 square foot area distribution node integrates with base communications. Responses are given to 134 contractor questions seeking clarification on project requirements and contract documents.

Are there any AV requirements for the floor-mounted LCD screen in the center of the auditorium?
GOVERNMENT RESPONSE: Floor mounted LCD screen is being provided by the Government. Power for in-floor LCD screen is shown on EP116. Please coordinate final circuit and breaker requirements, based on actual screen provided, with government. Contractor will have to coordinate power and data requirements as well as access and installation of the screens.

GOVERNMENT RESPONSE: Floor mounted LCD screen is being provided by the Government.
Contractor will have to coordinate screen mounting in access flooring using manufacturer’s standard details.
108. Reference: A-700 & A-711
Remark D on A-700 indicates that carpet tile should be “factory applied to access floor.” General Note 7 on A-711 indicates that “carpet tiles and pattern over access floor must be installed ‘on-grid’ aligning directly over each access panel . . .” which would seem to indicate a field installation of carpet tile.
Please clarify.
GOVERNMENT RESPONSE: Refer to Div 9 specification sections.
