QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS #2
The following are answers to questions received from potential offerors. The answers provide clarification only and DO NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.
QUESTION #1:
SPECIFICATION ITEM NO.: 112, PARAGRAPH / SECTION NO: 3.3 & 7.3.2, TITLE: Renew Weather Deck Drain Piping, Paragraph 3.3 and 7.3.2 state 80 linear feet of piping is needed but 7.3.1 states 40 linear feet, please clarify.
ANSWER: Paragraph 3.3 and 7.3.2 both state 80 linear feet. WI 112 Renew Weather Deck Drain Piping Rev 1 has been issued.
QUESTION #2:
SPECIFICATION ITEM NO.: 504, PARAGRAPH / SECTION NO: TITLE: RHIB Davit 5-year Overhaul and Weight Test, Please confirm the manufacturer of the two RHIBS is Willard Marine.
ANSWER: Willard Marine is the OEM of the RHIB(s).
QUESTION #3:
SPECIFICATION ITEM NO.: 530; PARAGRAPH / SECTION NO: TITLE: Assist Ships Force-Staging. Work Item is in the specification but not in the revised J-3, please confirm it is to be priced.
ANSWER: The J-3 has been modified to reflect the addition of B item 530 Assist Ship’s Force Staging work item.
QUESTION #4
SPECIFICATION ITEM NO.: 925, PARAGRAPH / SECTION NO: TITLE: Cathodic Protection System Maintenance. Please clarify if new capastic material is government furnished or contractor furnished.
ANSWER: Capastic Material shall be contractor furnished.
QUESTION #5
SPECIFICATION ITEM NO.: 1014, PARAGRAPH / SECTION NO:3.1.2, TITLE: Replace Sliding Block Transfer Head Bumpers. Paragraph 3.1.2 states to replace 6 bumpers but 4.2 includes 16 total pieces, please clarify.
ANSWER: The GFM listed in Para 3.1.2 is the adequate amount of material to change out the bumpers listed in the work item.
QUESTION #6
SPECIFICATION ITEM NO.: 1018, PARAGRAPH / SECTION NO: TITLE: Refurbish Highline/Spanwire Winch Band Brake. Reference 2.1 is “NAVSEA Technical Manual SG813-AX-MMA-020 Winch, Electric Hydraulic, Double Drum MK3 Mods 15 and 16” but the manual provided is “NAVSEA Technical Manual SG813-AX-MMA-010 Winch, Electric Hydraulic, Double Drum MK 3 Mods 1 - 8, 11 - 14, and 17.” Please provide the manual referenced in the item.
ANSWER: Will provide NAVSEA Technical Manual SG813-AX-MMA-020 Winch, Electric Hydraulic, Double Drum MK3 Mods 15 and 16.
