12‐001 3.3.2 15‐Apr‐20

Work Item: 168‐12‐001 Paragraph 3.3.2 should spell out the requirements for Electrostatic Powdercoating conforming to MIL‐PRF‐24712 vs. Fluidized Bed Method, the same as the requirements in paragraph 3.3. J‐1, WI No. 456‐

90‐001 3.2 15‐Apr‐20

WI 456‐90‐001, ShipAlt CG47‐92873K, RME Deactivated/Remove CG Spy Dehydrator, accomplish (OPTION ITEM). Paragraph, 3.2 states, “Accomplish the requirements of

2.2 through 2.4”. Contractor notes that upon review of references 2.2 through 2.4 that there is no material stated to be provided as GFM. Paragraph 3.2.1 states, “Reference 2.6 is Kitted material for this ShipAlt”. Contractor notes that upon review of reference 2.6 4720‐CG70‐FY21 Rev 02, Ship Alteration Material Summary (4720/3) for ShipAlt CG47‐92873K it states “THIS SHIP ALT DOES NOT HAVE GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIAL”. Paragraph 3.2.1.1 states, “Cut and fit all raw material provided as GFM in 5.3 to the appropriate size for install”. Contractor notes that IAW references 2.2 through 2.4 and 2.6 there is no GFM material to be cut and fitted applicable to this specification. Contractor’s Question: Can the Customer provide clarification as to the intent of paragraphs 3.2.1 and 3.2.1.1 and listing Kitted Material in 5.3 and will an Errata be issued revising this specification?

J‐1, WI No. 651‐

90‐001 3.1 16‐Apr‐20

Work Item 651‐90‐001, ShipAlt CG47‐83409K, Advanced Food Service; accomplish. Paragraph 3.1 states, “Accomplish the requirements of 2.2, 2.4 through 2.12, 2.14 through 2.21 and applicable portions of 2.22, including all general, local, special, test and rip‐out notes, and material provided in 5.3 using 2.3 and 2.13 as guidance”.

Contractor notes that both reference 2.3 and 2.13 are both identified for Pre‐Fab and since they are not identified to be accomplished this would lead to a reasonable conclusion that Pre‐Fab has contracted out under another contract and supported by reference 2.28, 4720‐CG70‐FY21 Rev 13, Ship Alteration Material Summary (4720/3) that states “SHALL BE FURNISHED PREFABRICATED BY MANUFACTURER AND SHIPPED TO INSTALLER”. Paragraph 3.1.3 states, “Cut and fit each raw material provided as GFM in 5.3 to the appropriate size for install”. Contractor notes that this paragraph makes it unclear if the Pre‐Fab is being provided as GFM or just as the raw material listed in references 2.28. Contractor’s Question: Can the Customer provide clarification regarding to if the Contractor is performing the Pre‐Fab related to references 2.3 and 2.13 or will these Assemblies be provided as prefabricated GFM and will an Errata be issued revising this specification?

Pre‐fabricated assemblies referenced in 2.3 and 2.13 will be provided as GFM.
