About this file
This federal solicitation seeks proposals for the USS Lake Erie (CG 70) FY21 Selected Restricted Availability. The Naval Sea Systems Command will execute maintenance, modernization, and repair of the Ticonderoga-class cruiser at a contractor's pier facility on the West Coast between November 2020 and August 2021. Offerors must have a pier capable of berthing the CG 70 with a minimum draft of 36 feet and electricity of 4000 amps. The contractor will complete all areas of ship maintenance, repair, and modernization. While complex in scope and duration, no small businesses are considered capable of meeting requirements, so the procurement is unrestricted. Interested parties must register in SAM and monitor beta.SAM.gov for the solicitation and amendments release. Proposals are due in August 2020. The Navy will make a single award by that same month to perform the availability starting in November 2020.
