About this file
This document is an Attachment J-1502000-08e detailing Periodic Inspection and Maintenance Actions, updated in accordance with UFC 3-460-03 (Change 2, August 2023). The document outlines comprehensive maintenance requirements for five key infrastructure systems: Filters and Separators, Hydrant Pits and Valves, Cathodic Protection Systems, Spill Containment Areas, and Oil Water Separators (OWS). Each system has specific inspection and maintenance protocols with prescribed frequencies ranging from weekly to annually, including tasks such as inspecting for external damage, verifying operational integrity, measuring electrical parameters, cleaning components, and ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
The maintenance actions are meticulously detailed, specifying precise activities like recording differential pressure for filters, lubricating valve stems, measuring pipe-to-soil potential, inspecting containment areas for cracks and corrosion, and verifying compliance with permit requirements for oil water separators. Each section references specific paragraphs from the UFC 3-460-03 standard, indicating a structured approach to infrastructure maintenance that emphasizes preventative care, operational reliability, and environmental safety across multiple critical system components.
