About this file
This document is a Direct Labor Burden Calculation form issued by the Colorado State Office of the State Architect State Buildings Program for the Colorado Department of Transportation's Fort Garland 7+1 Bay Vehicle Storage Facility (VSF) project. The form is required to be submitted prior to executing a construction agreement and is designed to document the labor overhead percentages that contractors pay to employees, including taxes, pension costs, health and dental insurance, and other benefits.
The form requires contractors and subcontractors to detail their labor burden percentage, which will be used in calculating future Change Order Proposals. Major subcontractors such as electricians, plumbers, mechanical contractors, excavators, millwork, concrete, and block layers must each provide a separate Labor Burden Calculation Sheet. The state reserves the right to request additional confirmation of the information provided. The related contract opportunity involves constructing a new 7+1-bay Vehicle Storage Facility on undeveloped land adjacent to an existing CDOT maintenance yard in Costilla County, Colorado.
