About this file
This document contains instructions for calculating small business subcontracting percentages for a federal contract opportunity. The Systems Engineering & Integration-2 (SE&I-2) contract will provide continued systems engineering and integration services to the Space and Missile Systems Center/Launch Enterprise at Los Angeles Air Force Base. The prime contractor must meet a small business subcontracting goal of 25%. The instructions define how to calculate the small business percentage using the total proposed prices for small business subcontracts and the prime contractor's total labor contract line item prices. Eight small businesses are listed with their proposed subcontract prices totaling $33 million, which exceeds the 25% goal of the prime contractor's $49.5 million total labor contract line item price. Therefore, the prime contractor would meet the small business subcontracting goal for this opportunity.
