MOBILE AIRCRAFT ARRESTING SYSTEM (MAAS)

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) FA8534-23-R-0001

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

01 MAY 2023

Q1. Can you confirm that the requested surge quantity is 8 systems per month (not trailers)?

A1. The anticipated surge quantity is eight (8) systems per month, not eight (8) trailers.

Q2. “If awarded the instant effort, would you be able to procure MAAS long lead time items at initial contract award to support immediate emergency surge needs of the government? “

This question seems to be asking if we can procure long lead time items ahead of contract award. Is this your intention or are you asking if we will place orders for material as soon as possible after contract award.

A2. The Government is not asking if you can procure long lead items ahead of contract award. As stated in the question, are you willing to place orders for long lead items as soon as possible after initial contract award.
