This document outlines a solicitation for a small munitions trailers acquisition. The Air Force Materiel Command is seeking a firm fixed price IDIQ contract over seven years to provide two classifications of munitions handling trailers. The basic contract period is two years for development and first article testing, followed by five one-year option periods for production quantities. The contractor must design, test, and produce MHU-110M and MHU-141 trailers according to technical specifications. Minimum order quantities range from one to 300 units per trailer classification under the basic and option periods. The contractor must also deliver various technical data packages and reports as contract data requirements. The acquisition utilizes full and open competition set aside for small businesses and will make a best value award based on technical acceptability and tradeoffs between past performance and cost. Proposals are due in November 2018 and award is targeted for August to September 2019.
