01 Apr 2019 (UPDATED) Industry Questions and Answers
1. Question: The government provided drawing #2489100 for the Upper Assembly of Trolley and Chock Assembly calls out the Chock Assembly drawing #2489300 as item 2. This drawing #2489300, Chock Assembly, is missing from the supplied TDP and is required.
Answer: Drawing #2489100 is a “VENDOR CONTROL” drawing. The Government does not own the data for the drawing requested. The offeror should reach out to Valentine & Company if they are wanting to pursue this trolley and chock assembly. Also, the Government would like to refer offerors to PD15WRWNZEA05 Amendment 05, dated 16 August 2019, which gives offerors the option to supply either the Valentine & Company trolley and chock assembly, part number 2489100, OR the legacy USAF Trolley and Chock assembly, drawing #68F6953, part number 68F6953-10.
2. Question: We have not been able to reach anyone at Aberdeen Proving Grounds for price quote on mobility testing for the past three weeks. Please furnish a direct phone number with a POC and an email address so we can obtain the price quote to complete our proposal.
Answer: The POC for offerors to get a quote from Aberdeen Test Center is:
John M. Whitt Branch Chief, Light Tactical Vehicles Test Branch Tactical Vehicles Division US Army Aberdeen Test Center
(410) 278-0327 (desk)
(410) 652-9264 (cell) John.m.whitt4.civ@mail.mil
3. Question: Will the Government allow for dual wheel and tire assemblies on the rear axle(s) of the MHU-110V2 similar to the legacy MHU-110’s?
Answer: If the offeror deems necessary, they may design the MHU-110V2 to have dual wheel/tire assemblies on each side of the rear axle(s). Please refer to PD15WRWNZEA05, dated 16 August 2018, paragraph 3.2, Trailer Description and PD15WRWNZEA05, Amendment 03, dated 20 February 2019, in its entirety. These documents and included references identify the Government’s requirements pertaining to number of axles allowed, number of tire/tube/wheel assemblies per axle, and track width for the MHU-110V2 trailer.
