This document outlines a solicitation for a small munitions trailers contract. The Air Force Materiel Command is seeking a firm fixed price IDIQ contract over seven years to develop and procure two classifications of small munitions trailers, the MHU-110V2 and MHU-141V2. The basic contract period is two years for development and first article testing, followed by five one-year option periods for production quantities. The contractor must design, test, and produce the trailers according to technical specifications. First article units are required for each trailer classification. The contractor will also provide various data deliverables. The acquisition uses tradeoff best value source selection considering technical acceptability, past performance, and cost/price. The anticipated RFP release is November 30, 2018 with award expected August to September 2019. The solicitation is set aside for small businesses.
