This document outlines a solicitation for a small munitions trailers acquisition. The Air Force Materiel Command is seeking a firm fixed price IDIQ contract over seven years to provide two classifications of munitions handling trailers. The basic contract period is two years for development and first article testing, followed by five one-year option periods for production quantities. The contractor must design, test, and produce MHU-110V2 and MHU-141V2 trailers according to technical specifications. Anticipated award is August to September 2019 following release of the RFP on or around November 30, 2018. The acquisition utilizes tradeoff best value source selection and permits cost/price trades between technically acceptable proposals based on past and present performance. The solicitation targets 100% small business participation.
