This document outlines a solicitation for a small munitions trailers acquisition. The Air Force Materiel Command is seeking a firm fixed price IDIQ contract over seven years to provide two classifications of munitions handling trailers. The basic contract period is two years for development and first article testing, followed by five one-year option periods for production quantities. The contractor must design, test, and produce MHU-110V2 and MHU-141V2 trailers according to technical specifications. A minimum of three first article units are required for each trailer classification to be delivered within 24 months of award. Production quantities will be ordered annually in optional increments up to 125, 300, and 300 trailers for options one through three, with a combined maximum of 300 trailers per classification under options four and five. The solicitation is open only to small businesses and will utilize best value tradeoff source selection based on technical acceptability, past performance, and cost/price factors. The anticipated RFP release is November 30, 2018 with award planned between August and September 2019.
