Industry Questions and Answers 16 Apr 2019
1. Question: The purpose of this email is to request a one week extension to the current due date now listed in the RFP FA8532-18-R-0003 as Apr 22, 2019 5:00 pm Eastern. Although it may not be a Government holiday weekend, this particular weekend is a standard business long weekend holiday and also is one of the most family centric holidays enjoyed by employees of most companies. Having a due date on a Monday that follows a long holiday weekend makes it challenging for proposal delivery logistics and also conflicts with many employees working the proposal that have had planned PTO scheduled for additional leave and travel to be with their families.
Answer: The Government is not at the present time extending the proposal response date of 22 Apr 2019.
2. Question: The Solicitation does not allow you to type into. Are all fill in spaces to be written in or were you expecting companies to use some kind of program to overwrite into the document so it is typed in?
Answer:
The Government expects companies to submit a completed solicitation in the English language and United States dollars (Section L.II.A.1). The completed RFP can be written in ink. IAW Section L. B.1 - Volume I, “Completed RFP shall consist of the completed and signed RFP, to include any amendments issued, with a cover letter delineating any exceptions taken to the RFP terms and conditions with accompanying rationale… Offerors shall ensure that all clauses and provisions that require “fill-in” information are appropriately completed, including the proposed prices associated with the contract line items in the Schedule of the RFP.”
3. Question: I would like to request an extension to Solicitation. I have a vendor that may be able to manufacture these trailers but he would need more time to review the SOW and give me a quote.
Answer: The Government is not at the present time extending the proposal response date of 22 Apr 2019.
