This document outlines a solicitation for a small munitions trailers acquisition. The Air Force Materiel Command is seeking a firm fixed price IDIQ contract over seven years to provide two classifications of munitions handling trailers. The basic contract period is two years for development and first article testing, followed by five one-year option periods for production quantities. The contractor must design, test, and produce MHU-110V2 and MHU-141V2 trailers according to technical requirements. A minimum of three first article units are required for each trailer classification to be delivered within 24 months of award. Production quantities will be ordered annually in optional combinations not exceeding 125 trailers for the first year, 300 for the second through fourth years, and 300 for the fifth year. The solicitation will be released on or around November 30, 2018 with anticipated award from August to September 2019. The acquisition utilizes full and open competition set aside for small businesses.
