RFP QUESTIONS GOV'T RESPONSE
1 Please detail if there is Regulated Medical Waste generated in the outbuilding clinic’s and if so is it picked up by the RMW contractor at the clinic sites or does it need to be transported to the hospital?
Keesler: Any building on the IMFE is subject to generating medical waste and if medical waste is generated we have made it contractual for the HAMS contractor to take it to the place where it is picked up by the waste contractor.
Please note that on the staffing spreadsheet we are asking you to propose on the total sq. ft. that is on the IMFE.
2 The IMFE from March 6th for Keesler AFB is showing two sets of sole use equipment for L&D room 3C104 and Surgery 2C146 is that correct?
Keesler requires the sole use equipment but the room numbers were incorrect.
The room numbers should reflect L&D 3A013 and Surgery 2C149. The IMFE will be corrected upon award.
3 What is the average daily discharges & transfers for each location? Information Document is posted to the FBO on 17 Jan 2012 which should address this concern.
4 What is the total annual adjusted patient days for each location? Information Document is posted to the FBO on 17 Jan 2012 which should address this concern.
5 What is the total number of hospital staff for each location? Total Number of hospital staff is not required for aseptic cleaning requirement
6 What is the total bed count for each location? Information Document is posted to the FBO on 17 Jan 2012 which should address this concern.
7 What is the average daily census at each location? Information Document is posted to the FBO on 17 Jan 2012 which should address this concern.
8 Which Occupational Code will be used for this solicitation, 11122
Housekeeping Aide or 11150 Janitor?
The Wage Determination occupational code is 11122.
9 Has the government considered considered offering each MTF as separate task orders?
Yes, the government has considered this.
10 What will be the government’s response if there are MTFs for which no task proposals were received?
If this situation occurs the Contracting Officer will address with the SSA.
11 It appears that the OR’s on the IMFE are listed as part of the older side of the hospital (in the 2C section) but not listed in the new tower section except for the 2 on the 2nd floor. If we are to submit staffing schedules that reflect the Keesler site which are we to base them on, the current
IMFE or the site visit?
Staffing schedules should be submitted based on the current IMFE.
