MA-SASC Task Order:

Performance Work Statement on

Intercom/Paging Systems Hangars 1040, 1080, and 1090

REQUIREMENTS:

SCOPE OF WORK:

Provide independent intercom and paging system in hangars 1040, 1080, and 1090 with devices as marked on drawings.

1 Capable of supporting vocal and music formats. The sound quality shall be at a level which will enable listeners to readily recognize songs being played over the system (e.g., The Star-Spangled Banner).

2 Capable of using two wireless digital microphones simultaneously 3 Wireless digital microphones require pre-approved frequency with 82 CS/SCOS, Robert Walton, 700 MHz band not to be used 4 Speakers to be suspended from the hangar ceiling only 5 Speaker wiring shall be rodent resistant 6 Wireless portable remote operating panel for use during ceremonies

Call-in switches and two-way horns in hangar areas to be surface mounted with moldings or enclosures extending to an inaccessible area. All cable may be run open and concealed as much as possible. Cable to classroom wall call-in switches shall be run within the wall enclosure to a cut-in single gang box. Wire type and gauges as recommended by manufacturer. Each building shall be a local self-contained system dedicated to the specific hangar. A dedicated independent power line to operate system, 120VAC source shall be provided by the owner in the designated equipment room. Contractor shall utilize Hangar 1090 Blue Print (TAG 72-20877-2) use Exhibit 1 drawings when locating and installing equipment. Each system shall be software programmable to provide intercom talk-back from each classroom, specific all-call zone paging

Task Order #5 13 Sep 1015 Sep 10 for each administrative console, all-call zone paging to each separate hangar, and all-call paging to all zones.

Each hangar shall have different quantities of equipment as marked on the plans and consist of the same type of equipment as follow:

1. 19” equipment rack with front door, skirted wheelbase, blank filler panels, and surge protected power strip

2. Program Distribution Panel

3. AM/FM/CD Program Control Panel

4. Digital microphone system consisting of handheld microphones & Omni-directional antenna

5. Administrative Console

6. 2”x2” lay-in ceiling speakers

7. Cut-in ceiling speaker with speaker enclosure and bar hanger for support

8. Rafter mounted flex horn

9. Flex horn with vandal-resistant enclosure and faceplate for hangar area call-in button

10. Call switch

HANGAR 1040-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

INTERCOM SYSTEM

Contractor shall install independent power line to operate system.

Contractor shall use Hangar 1040 Hangar Diagram (see Exhibit 1) when locating and installing equipment.

Supervisory Personnel with access to the intercom system shall be RFB1, RFB2, RF1, and RF2

Zone Definitions

Supervisor-to-Classroom – Capability for supervisor to two-way communicate with one specific classroom.

Supervisor-to-North Bay – Supervisor capable of two-way communicating with North Hangar Bay utilizing 4 Push To Talk (PTT) mounted on the wall of each corner of the hangar Bay. Once answered, only the unit used to answer the supervisor operates for that conversation.

Supervisor to Support Room – Supervisor capable of two-way communicating with Support Room (A102).

Supervisor to Technical Order Room – Supervisor capable of two-way communicating with Technical Order Room (A107).

Supervisor to Entire Building – Supervisor capable of one-way communication with the entire building simultaneously in the event of an emergency.

Equipment Information

1 Capable of supporting vocal and music formats.
