About this file
This document is an exhibit detailing the Image Cash Letter (ICL) file format used by the County and Tax Collector's office for bank deposits. The exhibit describes the current process of submitting financial deposits electronically, with ICL files generated using the standard ANSI X9.37 format. These files contain text data extracted through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and include images of both the front and back of each check.
The ICL deposit files are comprehensive, combining all checks to be deposited for a given day from multiple county departments, specifically the County Treasury, Billing Office, and Tax Collector. The files are transmitted at least once daily as a single, consolidated file, ensuring a standardized and efficient method of processing and recording financial transactions across different county offices.
