About this file
This document is a General Requirements specification (Section 010010) for the MAGIS-100 Infrastructure Modifications project at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab), issued by Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC in March 2025.
The project involves infrastructure modifications at the Fermilab Site near Batavia, Illinois, specifically at the neutrino campus at the MINOS Service Building. The subcontractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision required to complete construction work including: demolishing and relocating existing supply air ducts and sump pump discharge pipes; relocating a stainless steel oil fill pipe; and installing new chilled water taps. All work must be performed in accordance with the provided drawings and technical specifications while maintaining compliance with Environment, Safety, and Health (ES&H) requirements. No materials or equipment will be provided by FFDG, and there are no exemptions from the Buy American Act. FFDG will provide 120v electrical power for hand tools, toilet facilities, and locates of existing known utilities. The subcontractor is responsible for all additional power requirements, drinking water, temporary services, and facilities including lighting, ventilation, heating, drainage, and fire protection. Construction is governed by a 199-calendar-day project schedule with milestones for material submittals (49 days), substantial completion with punch list items (139 days), construction completion (169 days), and final project completion (199 days). Submittals required before Notice to Proceed include insurance certificates, payment and performance bonds, project hazard analysis, cost-loaded construction schedule, and quality control plans. The subcontractor must maintain as-built documentation, submit weekly progress reports with two-week look-ahead schedules, respond to deficiency notices within five working days, and achieve final acceptance only after completing all punch list items and submitting required documentation. Key FFDG contacts include Procurement Administrator Danielle Amico and Construction Manager Adam Taylor.
