About this file
The document is an Exceptions form from Collin County, Texas, related to a Request for Proposal (RFP) for excess liability insurance coverage. The county is seeking a three-year contract with the option to extend for two additional one-year periods, commencing upon award and final execution. The insurance coverage is specifically designed to provide excess general liability insurance after the county's self-insured retention (SIR), with multiple coverage options ranging from $3,000,000 to $5,000,000 and SIR levels of $1,000,000 or $2,000,000.
The proposal encompasses comprehensive excess liability coverage across several critical areas, including Commercial Crime, Professional Liability (Public Officials Errors & Omissions), Employment Practices, Employee Benefits Administration, Law Enforcement Liability, and Pollution coverage. As of October 1, 2022, Collin County transitioned to a self-insured model for general liability insurance and is now seeking supplemental excess liability protection to mitigate potential financial risks across these specified domains. The exceptions form provides a mechanism for potential vendors to identify any limitations in meeting the RFP requirements, with the understanding that no listed exceptions implies full compliance with all specified terms.
