About this file
This document is a method of approach response submitted by PPG Traffic Solutions Ennis-Flint, Inc. to the State of Arizona Department of Transportation for contract BPM005719 regarding bulk thermoplastic and thermoplastic preformed pavement markings. The response details the company's approach to delivering three primary thermoplastic product categories: PreMark Preformed Thermoplastic (a no-preheat material), HotTape by Ennis Flint (a preheat material), and PreMark XF Preformed Thermoplastic (a no-preheat material with enhanced flexibility and impact resistance). Each category is offered in 90 to 125 mil thickness and includes lines, arrows, legends, letters, numbers, yield/hump markings, handicap and EV markings, bike lane symbols, shields, manhole protection rings, and bundy pads, along with associated application equipment such as heat torches and sealers. The company indicated it maintains adequate production capacity to service all products within Arizona and has implemented protocols to monitor orders through a Central Planning team that schedules production based on customer needs.
Ennis-Flint possesses over 28 years of governmental experience and commits to prioritizing the State of Arizona in the event of raw material interruptions to meet delivery timeframes specified in the solicitation. The company's PreMark Preformed Thermoplastic Price List was last updated in September 2021 and is reviewed and updated on an annual basis. The contractor was directed to revise the pricing spreadsheet for line items 52, 63, and 64 to reflect pricing in 3-foot sections rather than per package, with the revised pricing subsequently provided as an attachment to the response.
