About this file
This is a Price Increase Percentages attachment for a bulk thermoplastic and thermoplastic preformed pavement markings contract solicitation (BPM005719) issued by the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT). The document establishes the framework for price adjustment requests during renewal periods if ADOT exercises its contract renewal options. Offerors must specify their maximum allowable price increase percentages for up to four renewal periods, with the solicitation accommodating potential increases of 5% for the first renewal period, 6% for the second, 7% for the third, and 8% for the fourth.
The pricing structure requires that all percentage increases be calculated against the original contract price rather than compounded against previous renewal prices. Offerors are cautioned that the State of Arizona does not automatically grant any requested increase; documentation of need must be provided at the time of renewal to justify any price adjustment. If offerors do not provide increase percentages in the attachment, prices remain unchanged from the original contract term. The document includes a detailed example demonstrating how cumulative increases are calculated, clarifying that a 2% requested increase per period results in 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8% maximum contract prices respectively when applied to the original base price.
