About this file
This is an attachment to a solicitation document issued by the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) for a contract related to bulk thermoplastic and thermoplastic preformed pavement markings, with solicitation number BPM005719. The document establishes the framework for contract renewal options, allowing ADOT to exercise up to four renewal periods beyond the original contract term. Offerors are required to submit maximum price increase percentages for each of the four potential renewal periods, with the understanding that these increases will be applied to the original contract price rather than compounded against previous renewal prices.
Price increases requested by the contractor must be documented and justified at the time of renewal; the State of Arizona does not automatically grant any requested increases. The document provides a clear example demonstrating the calculation methodology: if an offeror requests 2% increases per renewal period, they would enter 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8% respectively in the attachment, resulting in maximum contract prices of $102.00, $104.00, $106.00, and $108.00 based on an original contract price of $100.00. If an offeror does not provide price increase percentages in the designated spaces, prices will remain unchanged from the original contract term throughout all renewal periods. The selected contractor for this solicitation is Preform, LLC, located in Elkton, Florida.
