About this file
This is a Common Carrier Attestation document required by Pinellas County, Florida for contractors engaged in transportation services under county contracts. The attestation requires contractors to confirm compliance with Florida Statute 92.525 and section 908.111 of the Florida Statutes. Specifically, contractors must attest that they will not knowingly transport unauthorized aliens into Florida during the contract term, except in cases where such transportation facilitates the detention, removal, or departure of the individual from the state or United States. The document defines a "common carrier" as any person, firm, or corporation that transports persons or commodities for hire as a regular business and offers services to all clients willing to pay the established charges. An authorized representative of the contractor must execute the attestation under penalty of perjury, providing their printed name, signature, date, and Federal Work Authorization User Identification Number.
The attestation applies to the Infrastructure Repair Work Order Contract with Pinellas County, which covers reconstruction and repair of county infrastructure including concrete repairs, site cleanup, milling and resurfacing, landscape work, fencing, sidewalk repairs, ADA ramps, and sheet pile installation. Pinellas County reserves the right to terminate the associated contract for cause if the contractor is found in violation of the common carrier attestation. Contractors must provide the name of the Pinellas County contract and contract number on the attestation document as part of the compliance documentation and execution requirements.
