About this file
This file is a glossary attachment supporting an ERP Production Support RFP issued by the Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology. The glossary provides comprehensive definitions of 150+ technical terms, acronyms, and concepts relevant to the contract opportunity, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, SAP software modules, cloud services, cybersecurity protocols, state fiscal processes, and procurement terminology. The document serves as a reference guide for vendors and stakeholders to ensure common understanding of specialized language used throughout the RFP documentation. Key terms defined include SAP-specific applications (S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, BusinessObjects), infrastructure components (AWS SNS, SAP HANA, Okta), state-specific systems (SAMS, BidBuy, IOC), and operational processes (Maintenance and Operations, Enhanced Process Improvements, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment).
The glossary covers technical specifications, security measures, and compliance requirements essential to the contract scope, including definitions related to data management (ETL, API, ODBC), disaster recovery and business continuity, accessibility standards (ADAAA, IITAA), and state accounting processes (ABR, COD, EAT, RDT). Terms also address workforce diversity programs (BEP, DEI, WMD, VOSB, SDVOSB) and project management methodologies (RASCI, RTM, SLA). The glossary appears designed to establish a standardized vocabulary for a complex, multi-year engagement involving SAP system support, integration services, and process optimization for state agencies operating under Illinois's fiscal and procurement regulations.
