About this file

This is an Attachment to a state and local contract opportunity detailing contractor's license requirements for installation services. The document establishes mandatory licensing prerequisites for contractors and subcontractors performing work under the contract, specifically requiring a California C-7 license prior to work commencement. The C-7 license applies to contractors performing cable and wiring installation work, electrical modifications, and structural modifications. The license must be held either by the contracting company or its designated qualifying individual and remain current throughout the contract term. All contractors and subcontractors are required to maintain valid licenses, which may be verified by the State at any time. The document provides a structured form for contractors to document their own licensing information as well as that of up to two subcontractors, including class designation, license number, licensee name, expiration date, and the relationship of the subcontractor licensee to the prime contractor.

This attachment does not address pricing, set-asides, funding, or contract financial terms. Rather, it serves as a compliance and qualification document ensuring that all parties performing installation services possess the requisite state licensing credentials. Contractors are responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses and permits at their own expense and may not commence any work at or with a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) without maintaining a valid license. The responsibility for compliance extends to both the prime contractor and all subcontractors throughout the entire contract period.
