About this file
This document provides a draft request for proposal for an optionally manned fighting vehicle program. The U.S. Army is seeking feedback on the draft RFP by May 2nd for a detailed design, prototype build, and test phase. Interested parties must submit any comments using the provided comment resolution matrix templates. Unclassified feedback should be emailed to the program mailbox, while controlled unclassified information and classified information must be sent through approved government channels. The draft RFP identifies which attachments contain controlled unclassified information or classified information. Interested organizations may request these documents by providing required information to verify their facility clearance and authorization to receive such controlled information. The U.S. Army will use the feedback received to finalize the RFP for the optionally manned fighting vehicle program.

Attachment 0099 – Data Architecture Artifacts OTD Solicitation No.: W56HZV-22-R-0026
Attachment 0099 Data Architecture Artifacts One Time DID (OTD)
Solicitation No.: W56HZV-22-R-0026 Date: 29 March 2022
Distribution Statement A: Approved for public release; distribution is unlimited.
DATA ITEM DESCRIPTION
Title: GCIA Data Architecture (DA) Artifacts Number: DI-XXXX-XXXXX AMSC Number: 10120 DTIC Applicable: No Preparing Activity: MDA Applicable Forms: No Approval Date: 2022TBD Limitation: N/A GIDEP Applicable: No Project Number: xxxx-2022-xxx
Use/Relationship:
a) This DID contains the format, content, format, modeling language and intended use information for the Ground Combat Systems (GCS) Common Infrastructure Architecture (GCIA) Data Architecture (DA) Artifacts deliverables resulting from the work task described in the solicitation.
b) This DID describes the preparation instructions for the Ground Combat Systems (GCS) Common Infrastructure Architecture (GCIA) Data Architecture (DA) Artifacts. It is to be used as the basis for defining a data architecture. It describes the modeling languages, rules of construction, model libraries and provides example models defining how to document a vehicle system infrastructure design composed of modular components with open standard interfaces. The DA Artifacts will provide the acquirer visibility into the architecture as well as information needed for GCIA support.
Requirements:
1.0 Reference documents. The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract. The GCIA DA Models shall describe the number, title, revision, and date of all documents referenced in the deliverable. This section shall also identify the source for all documents not available through normal Government stocking activities.
2.0 Format. The GCIA DA Models shall be delivered in the form of models using the following SysML-based languages: Interface Model Library (IML), Family of Dictionaries (FOD), and Conceptual Data Model (CDM) languages. Refer to the GCIA Data Architecture Definition (DAD) document for supplemental information about these languages. The preferred format for the models is that used by Cameo System Modeler version 19 service pack 3, but models may be provided in formats used by other versions, and different UML and SyML modeling tools. The languages and rules of construction for the GCIA DA Models are defined in DAD document and DA model package provided by GCIA as part of the RFP package. The DA model package also provides reusable model libraries and examples of models that demonstrate the language and rules of construction for the GCIA DA Models deliverable.
3.0 Content: The GCIA DA Models will include the following models:
· System Architecture Models defining the design of the contractor solution architecture at conceptual, logical, and physical levels of abstraction. i.e.,
· Conceptual Architecture Models
· Logical Architecture Models
· Physical Architecture Models
· Software Architecture Models
· Hardware Architecture Models
· Mappings between Conceptual, Logical, and Physical data elements
· Domain Specific Data Model defining the Conceptual Data Model (CDM) (consisting of entities, properties, functions, and the input and output data of the entity functions), and the mapping to the semantic datatypes defined in the DataType Models. i.e.,
· Conceptual, Logical, Physical Data Models developed using FOD language
· Mappings using FOD Language
· Component Models, including models of components reused from the provided Reusable Component Model Library and those defined by the contractor as extensions to that library.
· Interface Models defining the open interface standards used in the design, including those reused from the provided Data Architecture Model Libraries (DAML) and those defined by the contractor.
· DataType Models defining the semantic datatypes used in the DAML and the design, including models reused from the provided Data Model Framework (DMF) and Joint Common Datatype Library (JCDL) Data Type Library and those defined by the contractor.
