About this file
This document contains a draft request for proposal for the Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle program along with related attachments. The Army is seeking proposals for the detailed design, prototype build, and test phase. Feedback on the draft RFP and associated documents is due no later than May 2nd, 2022 through comment resolution matrices provided as templates. Classified and controlled unclassified information attachments are available to entities with facility clearances and valid non-disclosure agreements by request through the provided mailbox. The opportunity involves designing vehicle health management, prognostics/predictive maintenance, prognostics, built-in test/built-in test equipment, and other advanced diagnostic and prognostic systems for integration into the OMFV platform. Responses should address each major topic area along with related hardware, sensors, data concepts, and interface requirements.

OMFV Prognostics/Predictive Maintenance (PPMx) System Information Request Prognostics/Predictive Maintenance (PPMx) is an essential readiness enabler and primary strategy for achieving cost-effective weapon system life cycle sustainment. The OMFV strategy is to capitalize on PPMx capabilities and leverage Artificial Intelligence to monitor and manage at both the enterprise fleet level and individual Combat vehicle level to determine the optimum maintenance cycles, diagnose and predict equipment health, optimize asset utilization, and improve performance. PPMx is more than maintenance; it is an operational tool for commanders to make dynamic decisions based on near real-time combat platform readiness conditions. This platform operational status gives commanders a distinct advantage in a near peer fight. PPMx will inform our ability to reduce unplanned maintenance downtime and allow for dynamic adjustments against the enemy and in changing battlefield conditions. It will drive decisions at the optimal time to conduct maintenance and services and PPMx will ensure the supply system is set to stock and deliver the optimum quantities of sustainment commodities.
