The Government intends to award multiple IDIQ contracts to a minimum of 5 vendors for testing purposes, then downselect to a single vendor for production orders as well as logistics products and potential spare pumps. Purpose:
This course trains selected enlisted personnel to set up, operate, maintain, and dismantle equipment used in the production, storage, and distribution of potable water. Completion of this course will produce a 92W10 Water Treatment Specialist qualified to operate various unit water equipment and contribute to the success of the unit mission.
Phase Scope:
The course provides training in water quality analysis, reconnaissance, water purification operations, storage and distribution operations, issue operations, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, and various general water subjects required for Soldiers entering the 92W career management field.
Phase Prerequisites:
Army active or reserve personnel must possess the following: a minimum score of 88 in aptitude area GM; normal Red/Green (RG) color perception; a physical profile serial (PULHES) of 211221; and for initial award of the MOS the Soldier must have mandatory formal training or meet the civilian acquired skills criteria listed in AR 601-210.

During In-processing, instructors will ensure all students receive an Initial Counseling, Honor Code Counseling, ISAP, and sign the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). Students will receive training on the Army SHARP policy Physical Requirements for MOS 92W
1. Frequently lift/lower a ~175 pound hypo-chlorination unit ~ as part of a four Soldier team prorated ~43.75 pounds and carry ~100 feet while wearing/carrying ~80 pounds of pounds PPE.
2. Occasionally push/pull a ~175 pound hypo-chlorination unit ~3 feet as part of a four Soldier team prorated ~43.75 pounds while wearing/carrying ~80 pounds of pounds PPE.
3. Occasionally lift/lower a ~139 pound storage tank ~as part of two Soldier team prorated to~69.5 lbs ~3 feet while wearing/carrying ~80 pounds of pounds PPE.
4. Occasionally climb ~4 feet of ladder when conducting PMCS on the ROWPU while wearing/carrying ~80 pounds of pounds PPE.
5. Occasionally lift/lower ~15 pounds (calcium hypochlorite container) when conducting water purification operations while wearing /carrying ~80 pounds of pounds PPE.
6. Occasionally hammer stakes 8 feet into various soil types with a 15 pound sledge hammer while wearing/carrying ~80 pounds of pounds PPE.
GENDER NEUTRAL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS TEST: Instructors will ensure all students perform a gender neutral physical demands lift in a field environment during Phase 1. The lift will consist of one hypochlorination unit (175 lbs), four Soldiers wearing

These three lessons are to be taught during the QMSTX for reinforcement training.Instructors will incorporate professional ethics training (Army Values and standards) in each lesson.
