This federal contract opportunity solicitation seeks a general contractor to expand an existing building and construct a new data center addition at the Tomah Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Wisconsin. The project involves furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services to construct approximately 5,000 square feet of new space between an existing building and tramway to incorporate an expanded information technology area and new data center. This will meet electronic health records modernization requirements and correct facility condition deficiencies related to accessibility, the main computer room and demarcation room. The solicitation was issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center located in Austin, Texas. Responses are due in accordance with the specified terms and conditions.

The solicitation provides relevant details on the scope of work required, including expanding an existing building and constructing a new addition, along with general contracting responsibilities to furnish all necessary resources and complete the project. It identifies the specific medical center campus and intended purpose of the project to upgrade infrastructure capabilities. Additional context is given through the involvement of the federal agency issuing the solicitation and its technology acquisition division.
