About this file
This document is a Response to Request for Changes #2 from the Department of General Services, Procurement division regarding a tablet procurement opportunity (Event ID #0000000669). The document addresses multiple requests for modifications from vendors, particularly concerning Apple products, warranty requirements, and cost worksheet calculations across different tablet manufacturer silos including Apple, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Microsoft.
The responses primarily focus on warranty and technical requirements, with several key clarifications: requirements previously modified in Addendum 3 have been reinstated to mandatory "M" status in Addendum 4; business class tablets must have 3-year warranties though specific warranty terms vary by silo; on-site support requirements vary by silo; and escalation plans must be provided by bidders rather than manufacturers. The state also addressed cost worksheet calculation issues, particularly regarding contract pricing formulas and discount applications, and clarified that each silo will be evaluated and awarded separately with no price advantages between silos.
