About this file
This is a Response to Request for Changes document from the Department of General Services, Procurement division regarding a tablet procurement contract (Event ID #0000000669). The document addresses multiple vendor requests for modifications to requirements related to various tablet manufacturers including Apple, HP, Lenovo, Dell, and Microsoft. The changes primarily focus on warranty requirements, product specifications, and cost worksheet calculations.
The key modifications include changes to Apple's requirements regarding product roadmaps, on-site support, and extended warranties, which were addressed in Addendum 3. Cost worksheet formatting issues were corrected to properly calculate contract pricing and discounts. Warranty requirements were standardized for some vendors, with Lenovo tablets being modified to 3 years NBD on-site support, and HP's warranty requirements being clarified. However, warranty requirements for Dell and Microsoft tablets will remain unchanged at 1 year, despite requests to match the 3-year NBD on-site warranty of other business class tablets.
